First, you will need to gather the following materials:
-A new LCD screen for your Chromebook
-A small Phillips head screwdriver
-A spudger tool, or a thin, flat object like a credit card
If your Chromebook's screen is cracked, there is no need to panic. Repairing a cracked screen is relatively easy and can be done at home with a few simple tools.
First, you will need to gather the following materials: a Phillips head screwdriver, a small flathead screwdriver, a medium flathead screwdriver, a spudger tool, tweezers, and a replacement LCD screen for your specific Chromebook model.
Once you have all of your materials, begin by removing the screws from the back of your Chromebook using the Phillips head screwdriver. Next, use the small flathead screwdriver to remove the plastic bezel around the edge of the screen. Be careful not to damage the LCD screen underneath.
With the bezel removed, you should now see the broken LCD screen. Use the medium flathead screwdriver to carefully pry out the old LCD screen from its housing. Once it is free, use the tweezers to disconnect any remaining cables still attached to it.
Now take your replacement LCD screen and insert it into the housing in place of the old one. Reconnect any cables that were disconnected earlier and then replace the plastic bezel around the edge of the new LCD screen.
